Despite Evan Mobley hitting a three-pointer to try and stem the bleeding, Mikal Bridges and Landry Shamet connected on consecutive deep shots to tie the game. In the final moments, Harden and Brunson each hit clutch baskets, sending the game to overtime tied at 104.

In overtime, the Cavaliers completely lost their offensive rhythm, missing shots and committing multiple turnovers. The Knicks, meanwhile, scored inside and out, unleashing a 9-0 run to seal the victory. Ultimately, the Knicks rallied from a 22-point deficit at home, winning 115-104 in overtime over the Cavaliers to take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals series.
