UEFA Nations League A: Wales Names 28-Man Squad; 21-Year-Old Ashford Gets First Call-Up, Johnson Included

The Welsh FA has announced its latest 28-man squad for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League League A campaign. Brennan Johnson, Daniel James, Neco Williams, Ben Davies, and Ethan Ampadu are among those selected; Harry Wilson and Jordan James return; Cardiff City's 21-year-old forward Sean Ashford earns his first call-up to the senior national team. Fixtures: September 24 at Portugal, September 27 at Denmark; October 1 vs Norway in Cardiff, October 4 vs Denmark again.
