Bologna officially announced on September 16 that Christian Tedesco has been dismissed, with 42-year-old Vincenzo Palladino appointed as the new head coach on a contract running until June 30, 2029. Tedesco took over this summer in June, having previously managed Schalke 04, RB Leipzig, the Belgium national team, and Fenerbahce. After only four Serie A matchdays with just one draw and three losses, scoring only two goals, Bologna sits in 16th place, and Tedesco was sacked after approximately two months. Palladino has previously coached Monza, Fiorentina, and Atalanta. He took over Atalanta in November last season, guiding the team to a 7th-place finish before leaving in June. Bologna hosts Torino next Saturday.
