In the third round of the EFL Cup, Manchester City defeated Norwich 5-0. Seventeen-year-old Floyd Samba scored a brace in his first-team debut. His father, Christophe Samba, was a former Premier League center-back who had a long career playing for clubs including Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers. Both of his sons are currently in Manchester City's academy, with Floyd's brother Tyron Samba also at the club.
