Infantino Faces Pressure to Step Down! Watzke: He Must Leave Immediately, No Room for Compromise

On September 18, Borussia Dortmund chairman, Bundesliga chairman, German FA vice-president, and UEFA executive committee member Hans-Joachim Watzke demanded FIFA president Gianni Infantino's immediate resignation, stating there is no room for compromise. He cited three reasons: awarding US President Trump the "FIFA Peace Award"; improper handling of the World Cup ban on Barlagon; and the retraction of the sale of partial World Cup rights from Trump's team to private investors, involving billions of euros, without informing FIFA vice-presidents and the council. Watzke also questioned why FIFA holds massive reserves that originally belong to member associations. Infantino is facing his most severe crisis to date, with Neumann having also called for an end to his system.
