Monaco sporting director Skuhravy has confirmed the club plans to sell American forward Balogun in January in order to retain Lamine Camara and Golovin until the end of the season. Previously, Everton's £40 million bid collapsed on the deadline day of the summer transfer window. Balogun refused to extend his contract due to dissatisfaction with the club's lack of timely communication during their pursuit of Zirkzee, compounded by Everton's medical department raising concerns about his health. He missed the first six matches of the season with a knee injury and is expected to return on Friday against Lens. Arsenal sold Balogun to Monaco for approximately £34.2 million in the 2023 summer transfer window, with the contract including a 17.5% sell-on clause, meaning Arsenal would receive that percentage of the profit if the transaction is completed.
