Starting at $30 Billion, Capped at $62 Billion! Lakers New Owners' Ten-Year Valuation Blueprint Exposed
The Wall Street Journal has exposed internal pitch materials from the Lakers acquisition consortium. The group led by Joshua Kushner and former Disney CEO Bob Iger projects that the Lakers' valuation could reach at least $30 billion over the next decade, and potentially up to $62 billion in favorable scenarios, based on assumptions including a doubling of television and streaming rights value. Lakers revenue is projected to be approximately $681 million in 2026, reaching at least $1.6 billion by the end of 2037. Sponsorship is expected to increase revenue by $40 million to $75 million, while operational efficiency improvements could save at least $20 million. The consortium reached an acquisition agreement with Mark Walter at a $12.5 billion valuation last month.
