Wagner Takes Over at Hannover 96! 38-Year-Old Former Star Signs Three-Year Deal as Head Coach

Hannover 96 have officially confirmed that 38-year-old Sandro Wagner will take the helm as head coach, signing a contract running until June 30, 2028. This weekend, in their home fixture against Bochum in the 2. Bundesliga, U23 head coach Lars Ballmann will serve as interim manager. Wagner will officially begin leading training sessions at the start of next week, with his first session open to the public. The club will also host a press conference to formally introduce the new head coach.
