Sassuolo Football Club Sassuolo Football Club is a football club in Sassuolo, Italy. The team currently participates in the Italian Football League Serie A. Sassuolo Football Club was founded in 1922 and played in Italy's lower-level leagues for a long time until it was upgraded to the C-League in 2006. In the 2007/08 season, under the leadership of Massimiliano Allegri, the team won the C-League Championship and was promoted to the Second Division. [1] The team achieved seventh place in the first Serie B season and entered the promotion play-offs twice in the 2009/10 and 2011/12 seasons, but failed to gain promotion. In the 2012/13 season, Sassuolo won the Serie B championship and participated in the Italian Football League for the first time in history. The original home stadium of the Sassuolo team was the Enzo Ricci Stadium in the city of Sassuolo, but since the stadium had a capacity of less than 5,000 people, after the team was promoted to Serie B in 2008, it borrowed the Alberto Braglia Stadium in the nearby city of Modena.
