Team Profile

Won the Belgian League Championship twice in 1979 and 1984; the Belgian Football Association Cup twice in 1978 and 1983; and the Belgian Super Cup in 1984. In the 1920 Antwerp Olympics, the Belgian team had the right time, place and people and won the men's football championship. A group of young people established a football club - Standaard Club Beveren. However, the good times did not last long. The rise of another team in Beveren squeezed out the living space of the Standard team. This team is FC Amical. On May 28, 1931, the Standard team was forced to withdraw from the league. In 1934 several former Standard players formed Sportkring Beveren. The team was registered in 1935. SK Beveren became the official team name of the team.
