Club history: On December 1, 1907, Venice FC Club was established. During this period, it was renamed AC Venice. In 1927, it merged with US Virtus Rialtina. In 1928, it merged with Libertas AC, AFC Folgore and Ardor US Gindecca Venezia to form AC San Marco Venezia. In 1930, it was renamed SS Serenissima Venezia. In 1935, the name was changed to AFC Venice. In 1945, it was renamed AC Venice. In 1983, the name was changed to Venezia Calcio.
