Lyon Football Club, located in the city of Lyon in the Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France, was founded on August 3, 1950. It was formerly a football team of one of the branches of Lyon Olympique Sports Club. In 1889, it left the sports club to establish its own business and established a new club.
