New Chapter for the Blue Moon: Full Lineup of Maresca's Coaching Staff Revealed

Manchester City Football Club has officially unveiled the complete coaching team that will join Italian boss Enzo Maresca at the Etihad Stadium. The club had earlier confirmed a three-year deal with the 49-year-old tactician, marking his third return to Manchester in a coaching capacity, as he formally takes over from Pep Guardiola as the first-team head coach.

Maresca is no stranger to the City setup, and he has brought along the core group that has worked alongside him during his tenures at Leicester City and Chelsea over the years. Roberto Vitiello, Willy Caballero, Danny Walker, Michele De Bernardin, Marcos Álvarez, Denis Silva, and Javier Molina will all form part of Maresca's backroom staff.

Vitiello, who played alongside Maresca at Palermo, will take on the role of assistant coach, while Caballero – who spent three seasons at Manchester City – has been appointed as a first-team coach. Walker and Silva will also feature prominently in the coaching setup: Walker previously worked in City's academy system before following Maresca to Leicester and Chelsea, while Silva will also contribute his expertise on the coaching staff. De Bernardin will serve as the goalkeeping coach, Álvarez will head the fitness department, and Molina has been assigned as City's new technical and tactical analyst.

Looking back at Maresca's coaching trajectory: he took charge of Manchester City's Elite Development Squad in 2020, had a brief stint at Parma, and then became one of Guardiola's first-team assistant coaches in 2022.
