In the 37th minute, during a quick counterattack, Rashford's one-on-one effort was saved, Saka's follow-up was blocked, but then Saka received a return pass from Rashford and slotted home from close range. In the first minute of first-half stoppage time, Eze threaded a through ball, Saka followed up with a low shot to complete a brace, and England led 4-0 at halftime.

France mounted a fierce comeback in the second half. Mbappé scored twice and provided an assist, while Barcola and Dembélé also found the net, pulling the score back to 3-4. But England were unfazed. Saka later converted a penalty to complete his hat-trick, and substitute Bellingham added another goal. In the end, England won 6-4 to claim third place.
